Philip Cox, Chief Executive, awarded CBE in New Year Honours
Philip Cox, Chief Executive of GDF SUEZ Energy International, has been awarded a CBE in the 2013 New Year Honours list. This award recognises Philip’s services to the energy industry, in particular his role as Chief Executive of International Power, which recently became part of GDF SUEZ.
During his twelve years with the company, Philip has helped to build it into a world leading independent power generator with a presence in 30 countries across the world and over 11,000 employees.
Under his astute leadership, the company has been encouraged to seek and develop opportunities in power markets across the world. This award recognises Philip’s achievements in the energy sector and also the commitment from many talented colleagues who contributed to the success of the company.
